Al Sharif Children’s Education and Welfare Trust is a registered charity in the UK dedicated to supporting orphans and underprivileged children in Pakistan.

About Us

  • To help orphans and poor children with education, health, and welfare

Achievements of Children we have supported

  • Over 100 girls have graduated to Degree level or above
  • Over 250 girls are employed in the public sector through support
  • Over 200 girls trained as tailors and self-employed
  • Over 40 boys achieving government-level employment after graduation
  • Nearly 2000 orphans and poor children have been provided clothes, shelter, food, books, education and other essentials

Education

Education is the key for any society to progress and we have provided through your support resources and facilities to help with the education of the children but yet there is still much more work and support that needs to be provided. Examples below of some of the projects related to Education we have carried out

Providing books and stationary to help young boys with their studies

Supporting young girls with desks, sewing machines, uniforms, stationery and other items to help them have a better quality of education and to learn new skills.

Stationary sent we have sent over 30,000 pencils, 30,000 pens, 1000s of rulers, calculators, markers, folders, pencil sharpeners, and a large variety of other items but much more is needed and we need your help.

Welfare Support

Through our welfare support in the time we have been established, we have carried out a number of projects to help these poor and orphaned children. To date, we have done the following but there is still much more to do with your support

Provide warm winter clothing much needed in the harsh winter months

Gloves and hats for young girls

Sleeping Bags we sent 500 to help the children sleep more comfortably at nigh they had no proper beds.

We sent a Chapatti making machine which can make 600 chapattis an hour to ensure that the children get fed on time and with greater efficiency

Infrastructure

Since 2020 we have supported over 20 educational centres scattered across the region of Pandora, ( to be sent as a list). There is a great number of requirements that are requested and we cannot meet all the demands we decide what is affordable and most importantly the most needed projects we can support and with your help we can provide more help to those that need it the most.

A regular supply of water is essential to ensure health, welfare, cleanliness, and a basic need. We have funded many projects where we have paid for Boering (digging a small well) to provide water facilities to the centres we have provided support.

We have provided numerous water coolers so that the young children can drink water safely and be a cool temperature which is very much needed due to hot weather in the summer. The pictures show the happiness that these projects bring to children.

We have created Wudhu areas so that the young children read their prayers and religious books clean which is required as well as providing them with new cleaning facilities.

We were asked from a number of centres for a vehicle to help load food and do other tasks which meant centres could work more efficiently and cut their transport costs. This has provided great benefit to the centres we support.
